Sep. 4th, 2003 03:12 amRandom question going through my head right now: Where did I hear the term "bodacious ta-tas"? Does anyone else remember this? I seem to recall that there was much hilarity, but not much else...
Anyway, we survived Burning Man. We hid from the sun all day, every day, only emerging from the RV around 6pm or so. The weddings/handfastings we attended were both lovely. At night we wandered around a whole lot, occasionally getting a ride on a friend's Mad Max art car, running into friends here and there, looking at art and many odd things in general. We drove through the night on Sun/Mon to get back to SF, arriving at 8am. On the way we stopped at a truck wash to clean the exterior of the RV, and dropped a bunch of stuff off in Daly City for Squee and Lynx. Very nice to get back to our air-conditioned city. ;) Mmmm... fog! Slept, cleaned RV interior and then went to Death Guild on Monday night. It was soooooo good to return the RV on Tues. Those things are *not* fun to drive, and I did all of the driving, both directions. We had to scheme a bit to figure out how we were going to get it up our hill....
In other news, we had a bit of a blackout here at around midnight. Power came back up around 1:45 or so. We could see that our hill was all dark but the next one over was lit, as was the rest of the city. We lose power far more often than we ought in this supposedly first-world country.... Luckily we have no shortage of candles and flashlights.
