Cruisin'

Just so you all know, Rob and I have been on an Alaskan cruise since Sun, and we won't be getting back to SF until this Sun (2 days from now). If there's anything that I really need to see, let me know, but otherwise, it may take me a while to triage all of the lj entries for the last week. Checked for a bit in Skagway on Wed, and now today in Ketchikan (sp?).

Alaska is really cool, but the cruise is dead boring. It's not a "traditional" cruise, but rather "freestyle". I've not been impressed by the food at all (and that's what you're supposed to do on a cruise, eat good food, right?), there's not even a midnight buffet, the entertainment has been severely lacking in several ways.... Painful, painful singing. *sigh* But the views have been really cool. We were at Glacier Bay yesterday. Very pretty. Skagway the day before was very nice, if overly kitchy, & the tourist railroad was cool. Ketchikan definitely could be missed, other than the internet cafe. Lots of stores & nothing of real interest. Saw a really nice sunset yesterday.
