In the castro, there's the Sausage Factory, which is very good. For a $25 prix fix dinner, there's Cote Sud if you want an EXCELLENT French meal. And plenty of food.
I do want to try Cote Sud at some point, but Rob doesn't like French food, he says... Looking at the menu, there isn't much he'd like in the entrees, unfortunately. :(
Krys, I told Rob you two should check it out since it's so close to where you live and the hours are ultra-convenient. It's near the Bank of America on Castro near Market...
I've been there several times, though not recently. I thought the food was good but not spectacular. Perhaps I should go back and try it again since it seems to be getting such rave reviews...
You're most welcome, m'dear! Thanks for the restaurant rec. We usually go to Murasaki in that neighborhood (Clement & 3rd, I think), but perhaps we'll give Ichiraku a try...

It's my favorite restaurant in the whole city.
